Abstract

This paper makes ues of Ecological Civilization as a creative and innovative perspective on sustainable development in the New Normal Era. It is a creative product of the Chinese People’s Republic of China (PRC) because for the first time a comprehensive approach to sustainability is put forward with the government as key significant player in managing business, society, and culture for the protection and care of the environment. It is innovative because it is an enhancement of the 1987 Brundtland Report on the Triple Bottom-line of People, Profit and Planet harmonious relationship.  It is innovative because it makes use of traditional Chinese teachings and the Yin Yang principles in promoting harmony between humans  and nature.  It is innovative because it is a socialist dialectic idealism, a variant of Marxist dialectic materialism.
