Digital transformation has become a strategic imperative for enterprises operating in an increasingly competitive business environment. Its success, however, depends not only on technological readiness but also on an organization’s ability to manage internal resources, particularly its financial management capability. This article examines the role of financial management capability as a foundation for digital transformation among enterprises and business organizations in Kendari City, Indonesia. Using a systematic literature review approach, the study synthesizes scientific publications from 2021 to 2026 addressing financial literacy, financial technology, digital capabilities, and digital transformation. The reviewed literature indicates that financial recordkeeping, budget planning, access to financing, and the effective use of financial technology are important factors in strengthening organizational digital readiness. The findings suggest that digital transformation strategies in Kendari City should integrate the development of financial management capability with the enhancement of digital skills and organizational capabilities.
